He's making a list, and checking it twice

We wanted a little Christmas spirit this afternoon so we took a trip to a huge decorators warehouse that was filled to the brim with Christmas galore. My children love to look at anything Christmas - it is a huge sacrifice on my part, but I will suffer through rows of ornaments, lights, and garland because I love them. And if you believed the last sentence, just ask my husband how many boxes of decor are stored in our attic. I love it all too. I must have inherited the gene - my attic doesn't even come close to my mothers. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed over an hour looking at the most wonderful time of the year. We also talked about Santa. This is the first year Beaux has really been interested in Santa and we covered all the basics: Santa lives in the North Pole,
he has a workshop full of elves who help him build the toys, and he has a naughty and nice list.
I wish you could have seen the wheels of her mind turning as I explained the concept. Talk of this idea continued between
Eli and Beaux as we drove home. This is what I overheard.

Beaux: Eli, do you think Santa will bring you something for Christmas?

Eli: Yeah, I been feeding Tex and making my bed. I think he will bring me a dinosaur that really roars. Do you think Santa will bring you something?

Pause

Beaux: I hope so.

Me too Beaux. Me too.

That is too cute. I love Christmas morning when they come down to see their faces is priceless. Kids are so excited no matter what they get.
By the way. I am ready for you to come anytime. You name it and I will pick you up at the airport. You should come in December and see the tree and all the beautiful decorations.

This could work for you, you know. Work it hard, and you won't need the book (that's still in Pace's car, I'm guessing) after all :)
