Boots, chaps and cowboy hats, nothing else matters....

Everyone put their boots on Friday, and headed to the Fort Worth Sock Show. Dan has so much Texan in him, he was busting at the seams to see some prize animals. We saw tons of cows, tons of sheep, tons of pigs, tons of chickens, and smelled tons of......... well I think you know. As we were driving home that afternoon, Eli let me know, "Momma, I still smell like poop." Despite the aroma, we had a stinkin' good time.

Thank goodness for hand sanitizer after a petting zoo...

This was how Beaux enjoyed the entire day~ I love it. When I was a little girl, my grandpa would take my sister and I to the sale barn, and we walked around the exact same way.

Real cowboys. Those boots probably cost more than our monthly mortgage. Texas our Texas.

"Whatcha you think about the heard."

Sugar, spice and spurs... She really can pull this off.....

You can tell a real cowboy by the type of boots he wears....

"Young fella, if you're looking for trouble, I'll accommodate ya." -

John Wayne
Even the smell can't keep me from my food.
Well, I am a little embarrassed. I'm a bit of a mess.
But of all the pigs here, I am the cutest.

A little stomping in the hay....

We blazed a trail.
And because I can't resist..."Always take a good look at what you are about to eat. It's not so important to know what it is, but it's critical to know what it was." Rump roast anyone?

I love Texas! The kids look like real Texans in their boots and Beaux's picture holding her nose is priceless!
